You should always make sure that your conscience of your body and your health condition. It is recommended to get regular checkups at least twice a year. This is the only way to be sure of your body’s current condition. One of the most common causes of illness, and death is cancer.  There are many advocates aimed at raising awareness and providing solutions for people that are either facing the illness, or just want to learn about the illness. One popular movement is the “Breast Cancer Awareness Movement”. This initiatives put together to inform people of the issue and is aimed to reduce suffering from the disease by encouraging people to get checkups. This makes it easier for early detection, which gives you a higher likelihood of fighting the cancer in the long run. The group also raises money to help fund research projects and institutions aimed at finding ways to eliminate the disease.
The movement uses creative branding strategies in order to grow the movement and thus raise awareness. The movement itself has been recognized as a brand. They use the pink ribbons to brand the organization. The raised awareness has increased the number of women receiving mammograms, the number of breast cancers detected, and the number of women receiving biopsies has decreased. The unique marketing approach has gotten major results as it continues to grow and educate men and women across the world.
Along with the creative brand, the company also sponsors major events to push the brand and continue to educate men and women. Each year, October is used to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month.  This is a month long marketing campaign also called Pinktober. Critics have bought into the positive concept, using it as an outlet to sell goods. Another popular event is the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk held in many cities. This walk usually lasts a full day, and sometimes an entire weekend. This event grows every year, which suggests more people are becoming knowledgeful of the harm of the illness and ways to overcome it.
